We are making the big move to Melbourne in the middle of April and at the mo are experiencing all kinds of emotions - ranging from sheer fear and panic via guilt at leaving family and friends to the excitment of starting a new life!!

We would be really grateful for any advice/information others can share with us as to how to make things run smoothly - what to do/ what not to do - you are the experts as you've already done it!

We are hoping to arrange somewhere to rent after we arrive and look around -but would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions for a reasonably cheapish place to stay for a couple of weeks when we arrive - somewhere clean and decent that won't cost us an arm and a leg BUT not somewhere too cheap that we wish we were back home in the UK. We travelled over last year for a fact finding hol but obviously stayed in hotels - this time tho we're not on Hol!!

Also need BIG advice on how people arranged travel insurance from the UK - we are coming via Hong Kong and are staying there for a few days - but are struggling to get 1 way cover due to passing through 2 immigrations!!! HELP
