Help......
Hi,
I am really interested in emigrating to Oz with my wife and family. I have not got a trade of any description but have been working as a Process Operator for the last 15 years. I have no family in Oz but do have lots of friends. I have applied for countless jobs from here in Britian but have had little success mainly due to being so far away. Can anybody give me any advice on whether they think I am suitable to emigrate. I am determined to give it my best shot and will venture down every avenue to try and achieve my goal.
Regards,
Chris Kelly.

Hi,
I think that your first step is to look at http://www.immi.gov.au
work your way around that site and find out your options...i think that you can be assessed on experience rather than actual quals....someone may correct me..
there are a few migration agents who give their advice free on here
good luck and keep us posted

I am sure you would find it hard to get a job , unskilled work here is hard to find and not well paid same as UK.

PommieB put a thread on, 'Good site for working out points', have a look at that. When we initially thought about moving over I searched on Migration Agents on the Web (Yahoo), some offer a free points test, some dont, you can also contact these people on the phone.
