Hello :)
Hi there everyone
Not sure if this is the right part of the forum to introduce myself but here goes!
I'm 35 yrs old and from Southern England, me and my husband (40) have been toying with the idea of moving abroad for a couple of years now. We have a daughter together and an older son who is from a previous relationship. We were originally going to go with Lake Tahoe in USA but recently (due to some aquaintances moving) decided Aus would be great.
Not looking to move for another 3 years but want to get things (finances) in order before we make the plunge. By that time our son will be 18 so can make his own mind up about whether he wants to move with us (his best friend has just had to move with his parents - 15 yrs old, no siblings - scary stuff!) and our daughter will be 11 and just started in senior school so thought that would be a good time to move.
I am training (apprenticeship) to be a hairdresser - 18 months to go, and I am also a qualified Nail Technician and Body Waxer (intimate specialist) but although my husband has done many jobs in his time, he has no formal qualifications except an NVQ in Pat Test Engineering and a City and Guilds in locksmithing from about 4 years ago that he never pursued.
We also rent our property so would that be a problem?
So, that's us in a small nutshell
I wonder though, how did any of you decide which part of Aus you were going to move to? I'm not sure of the area my sons friend went to other than it has 'woomba' I think in it's name!
Thanks for reading my ramble

Thanks for replying Darkest
Whereabouts are you hoping to relocate to? And what job are you hoping to get? Was it easy to get a job without being there?
Sorry for all the questions!

Re: Hello :)
Hi, we're hoping for NSW although we don't know what specific area yet. Hubby has applied for NSW amb service as they were recruiting for international applicants.
For me, i'l just find a job once we're out there probably.
