Hi Suz
thanks for the hello!
you may have read in another message from me that our agent has lodged the tra application today! so its a matter of waiting for the time being! nerve raking business isn't it?
i won't tell my 10 year old daughter about your friend and the red back, she was in the garage earlier with a daddy long legs and scared stiff!

Hi Rach,
Just a quick hello back, I remember the paperwork I thought it was never going to end but we are nearly there now, Perth Bound Oct/Nov, being in limbo is not much fun, but we tried to carry on as normal, I even started up my own business, it certainly kept my mind off Oz for a while, the kids drove us mad watching Steve Irwin non stop I think they thought that every person in Oz spent their days catching snakes!!!!!!!!!
A good friend of mine has left for Brisbane 3 months ago, she has just bought a house and got the kids in good schools, despite a bit of a lonely start she has mainly posative things to say so far, apart from the red back she shared the shower with!!
Good luck with it all, patience is the word, sadly.

Hi WannabeWallaby
haha! we live in Parkstone but i am original from Bournemouth (west cliff), hubby is from Poole!
well done for getting your visas, where are you hoping to emigrate to?

My dad still lives in Parkstone and my sister lives in Branksome, small world eh?
We are heading for Perth and hope to be there around November 2003. The only reason for picking Perth was for the dry hot temps as Florida's humidity is wearing a bit thin these days! My parents were 10 pound poms in the sixties and my sister and I were born there but we all left Oz when I was 4 years old so I can barely remember my early life in Melbourne. I consider myself very lucky to have the choice of which country I want to belong to and I'm not getting any younger (I'm 35 and hubby is 40) so its really is now or never for us.
Good luck with your endeavour and wish you all the best!
