Health Undertaking
hi there
Has anyone already in Aus asked to fill in a Form 815 (Health Undertaking)?
And did you report to the Health Undertaking service/clinic?
We've just had an email from our CO about my husband's medicals and they've asked him to fill out a Form 815 and report to a Health Undertaking Clininc within 4 weeks of arrival in Australia.
Our UK panel doctor said they had found nothing wrong but obviously that's not the case the other end.
Any thoughts, experiences, understanding would be gratefully received!

Just so you know a health undertaking usually means you will get less time to validate, they usually say 6 months.

Re: Health Undertaking
Thanks Wendy
We did ring DIMA the day before we got the email about this. All they said then was that they were waiting for more information about his medicals and that our CO would inform us when they knew more!
We'll try speaking to our UK panel doctor again now that we've been asked to fill in this form.
And I guess 6 months to validate means 6 months from when we had our x-rays/medicals?
We've applied for an SIR visa so even if all is OK this time we'll have to repeat the process again.
Ho hum.
Thanks again though

If you do e-mail him/her. Really isn't much you can do except sign it anyway, but just for your own peace of mind you need to know what's wrong. Hopefully it will be something relatively minor anyway.
Did your panel doctor check your x-ray?
