Hi all we are hoping to move to Adelaide early 2009 i have concerns about medical as i have high cholesterol and have to take a pill every evening to keep it down does anyone else have this problem or have any answer that may help me.

Sorry, I assume you're talking about the meds for the visa? Many people have high cholesterol and are on medication, it's not a problem for the meds. They are generally only concerned with cancer, HIV etc, the stuff that costs a fortune to treat and will be a drain on the Australian medical bill.

I suggest you get a detailed letter from your GP explaining when it was diagnosed, what meds you're on, how you are dealing with the symptoms etc and present that to the panel doc. Worse case scenario will be you'd be sent for further tests and only get a six month window in which to validate but in general you shouldn't have a problem.
