Heading to GC Sep/Oct/Nov 07.........

All well here on the Gold Coast and loving every minute of it! Moving to Oz was the best move we ever made...
Everything back in England seems like a long time ago for me. Can't quite believe we have been here for 10 months and won't be visiting St Albans until next year now...
Good luck with the house sale and please keep in touch.

Have cracked a XXXX just to celebrate this thread
Oh, and to celebrate picking up my Queensland license today!
I'm Sam, 30 and unemployed for about 2 more days, it's my career of choice I've decided. Est is about the same age (lesson learnt the hard way), and will happily drink at all times of the day in any company... We're on Chevron Island just up Ferry Road from Southport, and Est studies hairdressing in the town centre. We have no kiddies, so happily spend all of our $ discovering new pubs and restaurants nearby, it really is a hard life over here...
Anyway, it sounds like a great plan to meet up when you all finally get here!
We also have a couple of other interests but I reckon I've outlined the most important here so I'll stop now.
See you 'on the other side'

Whats Chevron Island like? I am coming to GC in Jan and I have seen some places around there for rent.

The north side of Thomas drive is great! Nice apartments and nicer houses, good little centre as Soapy says, a good bar and lots of restaurants. Traffic down the centre is a problem, as its a main cut thru from Surfers to Bundall, Ashmore and most other places, but we love where we are, nice and quiet but walkable to Surfers and the beach...

Haven't got a clue what these abbreviations mean... I'm only 30 and I've had to use 'urban dictionary' to find out you guys are amused by comments on this thread.... I urge all you stick to a language I can follow if you will.
TIA (THanks In Advance),
Sam
