Possums - if it has been stable for a while even on medication - I don't think it will be a problem - just a routine enquiry to your GP/Specialist.

I think it is best to be honest. They only want to know if you are going to cost the government any money which seems a bit daft when you have to pay your own medical costs out there anyway.

I doubt that they will need a psychiatric evaluation - but if they do it should be a formality.
