Part of the Star Alliance I think. We considered doing a London - Boston - Whistler (ski week) - San Franscico - Hololulu - Auckland - Melbourne route

We flew on Air NZ via LA, Tahiti, Cook Islands and Auckland. Stopping over in the Cook Islands was a great buffer between old and new lives.

I am a bit confused by this, or maybe being a bit thick!
Why is there so much more baggage allowance ?
Is this for both legs, i.e UK to US and US to Aus ?
Cheers

I don't know the reason for this.

Seriously it has always been the benefit of flying that route but at the consequence of being the most affected by jet lag. Breaking the trip down really would help ie 2 stops ove the americas and a nice pacific island holiday in Cook Islands/Fuji /Samoa etc.

Cheers, it is amazing the things you learn on this site, great suggestion and really good news for a couple that are toying with the idea of selling everything before we go and traveling with our whole world in just 4 suitcases and starting from scratch in Os. :scared:
