you are the first person that i have actually met that knows what real gypsy is i am afraid that the word has been taken over by non true Romany's and trashed so it now means a bad person , ie like the word gay used to mean happy now means something completely different:D

to true ,im afraid gypsys where ever they are have been marginalised ,my grandmothers family included and it was a shame to see a side of my family die out from a gypsy point of view .
These people that go around acting like dogs arnt gypsys in my book ,and thank you for the compliment charlie brown .

they are not of Romany decent you would not catch one doing, what goes on in there name in this day and age, if you want the record straight these people that do these things now are just Irish tinkers and thieves that used to live in estates but got chucked out for what they did there

Have to admit, Phoenix has a point. Opinions OK, but pisstakes, belittling (sic) probably not...goes with the job -bet it's hard sometimes. Do you mods get briefs or direction from the site owners? Never seen Cresta 'lose it' once. Slightly out of character - frayed patience or something.

I like this Luther bloke - real Dark horse and has a lot of original stuff to say, not the usual black/white stuff -comes at things from a new light.

Nowhere did I "ridicule" (to use your word) Vash or any other poster, in fact I even said that it was a tongue in cheek reply. Vash takes great pleasure from his quotes, his figures, and his wide range of information. However, he is not always correct, indeed none of us are.

I feel that I have merely pointed out that on some occasions he has given wrong information. Nothing wrong with that. It has been done in a perfectly polite way. I'm sure Vash is astute enough to understand that, so I fail to see your problem. Given our past history maybe it's more a personal thing. I can think of a couple of suitable quotes "let he,or she that is without sin cast the first stone" or "Pot & Kettle" take your pick. At least I haven't gone back and deleted anything I've written.

If you have an issue about my posting my opinions, or indeed about any specific post, you are at liberty to report it, and the report will be seen by Sue and Paul - if I then find that I am banned, or barred from expressing my opinions because I'm a moderator, then I will respect that decision, however it may be a long wait until that happens.

You may have noticed that I am posting my opinions in a far more polite way than many recent members of this forum. Would you prefer that I descended to the gutter language used by others? THEN you could accuse me of posts and opinions that stink

You're right that I don't tend to see things as black or white and I do like to test preconceived ideas. Unfortunately this seems to irritate some people from time to time (albeit unintentionally on my part).

I know quite a lot about the Australian MH services..and the Uk services.

I have probably visited a lot more services in Australia than your wife has. I have also met with several very senior service managers in various capacities.

A few years ago I was invited to help 'sort out' (not my words) an australian community service but had the good sense to realise what I was up against.

The reason I do not post much on it now has absolutely nothing to do with you or your wife's opinion.....don't flatter yourself.

I have retired (apart from as a private therapist) so it does not really concern me now.

I will do so again if you want a chance to discuss it on here.

I don't think it was his intention to make personal remarks and he has apologised.

Moderators are volunteers and like all of us are only human and make mistakes. I'm sure we've all, on occasion, typed a comment on this forum and then later thought ..... whoops I wish I hadn't said that. Lets not blow things out of proportion.

Quite simply vash was wrong and I pointed it out.

Instead of accepting that he had given inaccurate information he started his usual hair splitting.
