They're not when compared to the local average wage. House prices eclipse the 10 X annual salary here in Gympie for most decent places.

Queenslands underbelly, I understand more gun ownership here than anywhere else in QLD. Oh and it used to flood up to the Pineapple!!:)

It has a lot to do with the fact that you only get about half the area of land you thought you bought.

The other half are old sealed mineshafts that are caving in:eek::eek::eek:

The mineshafts are useful if you need a cellar or shelter from a cyclone:rofl::rofl:

So you can deduce from the replies so far that the majority of people don't want to live here & view the folks that do as rough as guts ferals.
