They now have a really handy new map feature in which you can zoom in/out and all around.This gives you a really good indication where suburbs are in relation to each other.

Good tool for viewing where the house is located, I don't mean to diss you but it uses Google maps. Unfortunately google maps can't find suburbs etc. very well. Here's a map site that finds all suburbs very easily, it too can zoom out/in etc.

Have you tried www.local.live.com ?

It's the windows equivalent of google earth but when you zoom in far enough the suburb names and then even the street names appear.

whereis does this, but whereis also displays atm machines, wifi hotspots, parking etc. It even displays toilets and other stuff. Did you notice the slider at the bottom left hand corner that lets you zoom in/out?

yip, I do like that feature. I especially like the "birds eye" view. Pity it's not in Oz yet. Maybe it is, I'll check out the Sydney harbour bridge. It also does directions as well. Nice site. thanks for pointing it out cadman.

A site that I use a lot is multimap.com.au (same as multimap.co.uk, which is also great!). Multimap also does directions so you can see how long it takes to get from one place to another.
I usually have this page open at the same time as realestate.com.au and flick between them. Hours of fun!
