Default GP work in Wollongong

I've been a GP in manchester city centre for 4yrs but now want to move near to Sydney (I lived there 6yrs ago).
Whats life like as a GP in Wollongong/Sydney c/w the UK?

I'm hoping so- I've been down this route numerous times over the years but usually U have to work in the Outback for 5yrs before U can get a provider number (it allows GP to prescribe + get money back from Medicare) and get residency.
The current "job offer" has only been emailed to me last week so I don't know how serious they are at this point but I'm crossing y fingers.
