Hi Glenn. I am a GP and my other half (anaesthetist) and I are wondering about the move too! We have previously worked in Perth (05) and Dunedin (06), I worked as a GP in East Fremantle for a few months in Australia and then in the Otago University Health Service in Dunedin, again only for a few months but it was interesting to get a glimpse of a different health system! Where are you thinking of going? We are interested in NSW and Victoria this time round, if we decide on making the move - we're just not sure right now, with two kids to consider, schools etc etc! Good luck, anyway!

Are you looking to come to one of the capital cities or would you be prepared to live and work in a country town? Getting doctors into the country is difficult and most states offer great incentives if you are prepared to work outside the capitals.

Darwin is in real need of decent GP's who are fluent in English, as currently they have a lot of GP's who have poor spoken English.
Im sure some GP's will advise you soon

Hi Glenn & welcome!
I am sure that you will find your services very much in demand wherever you decide to settle, so probably a good idea to have a think about what you are looking for in terms of location, lifestyle, schools etc etc.
Ask lots of questions, nothing is too silly!
