Got a job - kind of!

Got a job - kind of!
Well I had an interview the other day and it went great, we talked for nearly 2 hours. When it came to the crunch, the lady told me to go away and think about what had been discussed then call her back if I wanted to definately take the job. She did not want an answer there and then although she did tell me she'd love me to work for her and that I was just what she was looking for.
I called her back the following morning and told her I'd take the job.
The job is as a senior stylist in a brand new hair salon that isn't open yet but will open in a couple of weeks.
Anyway, hubby looks like he's going to end up doing security work for now due to all the bloody licenses and stuff he needs as a handyman being really hard to get as he has no qualifications. Security also pays better than caretaking which is what he originally wanted to do. So, he's booked in to get his security license next week.
Now all the jobs in this area for security happen to be evening work which means I won't be able to work evenings which is a bugger because this lady is expecting me to work 1 if not 2 evenings for her a week until approx 9pm. Now to be honest I really don't want to work evenings anyway as I have a 4 yr old and she'll end up being in bed before I get home from work. But I was prepared to work evenings as that way I atleast hed a job before Christmas. So now it looks like i'm not going to be able to work evenings and this job I've got means having to work evenings.
Hubby has to work, can't hold off until a day job comes along and he already has a job offer if he gets his license sorted. Better for him to work than me if it comes to that.
I'm dreading phoning up my new employer as it looks like I'm messing her about before I've even started.
On the other hand if she decides she can no longer employ me as I can't do evenings atleast I no in time for the job paper coming out tomorrow
Other problem is she has all my certificates She got shop plans and stuff out on the table then when she packed up she picked up my stuff and put it all in her briefcase without me realising until I got home.
It is a great job in my ideal area, but maybe I have to let this one pass me by

Marie,
I'm a bit of a merceniary when it comes to taking jobs. I'd accept it and carry on looking. This upsets some people, but having been made redundant I always think if their business wasn't going too well, would they be bothered if they sacked me.
The main thing is to get your certificates back though, so get that sorted and keep looking.
There's alot of jobs about for Stylists so I can't see you having any worries getting one to suit you. Just rock up to the shop and give them your CV.
Paul.
