Google have just updated their maps service and now have 0.7m (that's pretty snazzy) Satellite imagery of Sydney and Melbourne ....

Sydneysiders and Melbournites... can you see your homes?

Re: Google Map - Sydney
I'm getting much better results with Google Earth rather than Google Maps. Excellent results across Sydney and most of Melbourne. Also, Canberra is now in hi-res which was really fuzzy a few weeks ago.
P.S. Sydney now appears to have height information stored in the Google Earth database, which provides a 3-D effect if you go down low in height and angle the perspective; then you can do a fly-through as in the Grand Canyon example. Zoom around the North Heads and see the cliffs! Most impressive...
