As for the people who constantly sling mud at the Mods in general, without us this site would be a lot worse off, or maybe you all like wading through pages of personal abuse and ads for fake watches? ----------------------------------------- Now, to get back to those who had their posts removed - if you have a website for your company/property, you may add the URL to your signatures, as Soapy suggested - that way it will appear at the foot of each and every one of your posts. You can also add the website in your profile as your homepage. If you're not sure how to do that please pm me and I'll help you out :) (see Rule 16 "16. Member Signatures Your signature can be used to promote your site, business, or other ventures as long as they relate to you personally." I think you may be taking this a little to seriously. I am sorry if I offended any moderators. |

Thanks Soapy, I made the same comments to the Moderator in a private message to no avail. The thing is, we are not a business - just an expat family who rent out our holiday home to others. I have been a member of this site for years and have found that there is a real need for short term, furnished accommodation.
If people find accommodation like ours, they know they can trust us; not so very long ago we were in the same boat. I think it is a real shame that the moderators cannot see a clear definition between a business trying to get free ad space and a family letting out their holiday home. As I am no rule breaker I will abide by this decision and will never post details of my two bedroom apartment, 200m from the beach, walking distance from Broadbeach Central and some great restaurants, again. Furthermore, if people put in a search for 'Broadbeach' and happen across photos of our apartment I would urge them not to look! Cheers Mark;) The rules are there for everyone, this forum would not be the useful resource it is if it was full of people making posts for the purpose of advertising. You say you are not in "business" but I take it you will be receiving financial compensation for letting out your property? There are many others on this site who do the same, but they have the good manners to use their signature, the classifieds, the links section and the Connections forum that are available for this very purpose. If someone specifically asks for recommendations you can even pm them the details if you like, but to repeatedly make the many, many posts solely for advertising your property as you have done is out of order. As I told you in my pm to you, please feel free to avail yourself of the other resources on this site including the use of your signature to promote your accommodation. Thank you |
