Default going mad....

we are twiddling our thumbs going mad.
after a year of waiting for our visa, organising the shipment, saying sad farewells to loved ones, hiring the car for the airport, packing our stuff etc... the day finalling arrived of our flight on 31st dec. we woke up early as the excitement was incredible only to find our ickle 7 month old daughter smothered from head to toe in a million chicken pox. aaahhhhhh!!! our 3 and half year old boy had it 11 days before. we considered for a mad moment concealer and mad hats but they starting appearing before our eyes all over her face. singapore airlines refused our flight and so we are stuck here going crazy. i'm really glad we didn't fly with her though as she was very poorly and it would have been horrible for other travellers on the flight.
we have now rearranged our flights again for 12th jan and hope to be in perth soon beginning our new lives. my poor sister who lives in fremantle had a late xmas barbie waiting and the champagne.
we're not dwelling just feeling sorry for ourselves. here's to 8 more sleeps!!!

top tip.....get one way travel insurance if you have kids.....(who haven't had chicken pox!!!!) luckily we did!!!

Dont be too sure, I have had it twice. Once as a kid, and again in my twenties. And it was chickenpox, not shingles. The doctor said, although rare, you can get it twice.

Top tip

Get good travel insurance full stop. I have personal experience of medical bills abroad and I am still up on the insurance companies.

Thumbs up

The anticlimax eh, never mind, better she got them before you travelled than when you just arrived.

Good luck with the move on the 12th (we're the 15th!)
