For anyone who does have to have the full X-ray, med, etc. for a family.

In Melbourne leave yourselves at least 3 hours, we had to queue for an hour first, 20 mins to complete admin, then all the different stages (including returning to the car to put more money in the machine and hanging around for hours waiting for junior to need to wee in a cup).

Very friendly though (as always).

thanks for that, so when i submit my PR application, ill just write a covering letter saying that they already have our chest xrays...cool, all I need to book then is our medicals now, yipee!

Hi Laura,

Don't rely on getting your previous x-rays. It's probably down to your case officer but we couldn't get ours so had to redo them.

Also don't forget the meds have to be done where DIMIA tell you to go and bloods will also be needed.

In our case meds, bloods and x-rays were at different places.

We had to have repeat x-rays in Melbourne, and our daughter a repeat medical as...... "Medicals will have to be redone as medicals for 457 cannot be used for permanent residence applications." was the answer given by our CO!

We have also just had to submit repeat copies of things which we had certified as true copies in the uk.....as they must be certified here in Australia! Never knew that and had extra copies done in the uk to use when we got here.
