#1
Hi there,
Just wondering, does anyone know where I would buy the genius bread? The gluten-free bread available in the UK?
regards

Dont discount some of the other gluten free breads that are available in coles/woolworths - my husband could only eat the genius bread toasted but has found some here he can eat without toasting it.
Havent a clue what they are called, i just know the packet but think it is something like county life gluten & yeast free

It is in coles, it was coming in frozen from UK so you could not re-freeze. Now it is in the tall fridges where you find frozen items.
Helgas have just started a gluten free loaf, available in woolworth, normal bread section.
All about $7 a loaf.
Woolworth gluten free range is small but surprisingly good, friend made me a gluten free mud cake for BD, it was thier packet mix.
I also tried their sponge mix, tried it out on the teens, look if anyone is going to complain about cupcakes made from potato flour it would be them. They scoffed the lot and did not even realise, till I told em
what they had eaten.

I like the Burgen gluten free soy-linseed loaf, but it is expensive at $7. (Woolworths) It is one of the few that you don't have to toast so can make proper (if very small) sandwiches. For the best version of a baguette, get Schar, bake at home. They come in a 2 pack and cost about $9. They are so nice that they are the first thing to go at dinner parties, rather than the "genuine" French loaf!!
(Schar and Burgen should have an umlaut, but my computer doesn't have one.)

Aldi have also just launched a Gluten Free range - my GF was very impressed with their 5 seed bread...
