Hi,
I am looking at moving to either Ipswich QLD or Richmond NSW. As we are not expected to move to Australia until Nov 09, I am only doing a little research on both areas. I am married and have 2 boys aged 10 and 9. Both are really sporty and at present play for a Cypriot football Academy in Limassol Cyprus! What we are after is information on schools both state and private and also information on the local football(soccer) scene. So, can anybody advise us on areas live, schools to check out and the positives and negatives on both Ipswich and Richmond.

Yes mate, just awaiting interview. Fingers x should finish in Cyprus then fly with family to Australia. Location and Schools the most important to us. Have family in Townsville and brother-in-law although KIWI! moving to Brisbane next year also.

My g nephews are in a soccer Excellence program at Kelvin Grove State School in Brisbane.

Bit of a hike from Ipswich, but maybe your choice of places to live may be dependent on the boys sport. Some others around Brisbane that I know of:

Cavendish Road State School in Holland Park also has a Soccer School of Excellence.
