spoke to traders today - they're pushing me to do deals now soon as poss "whilst £ is so steady"!
that normally means a rally on the £ is due and they expect to be inundated again and turning away business so trying to get as many out of the way before that happens.
Told them no thanks I'm happy to wait!
Interest rates announced here and Oz next week so will be interesting.

good Nationwide figures out showing housing market decreases slowed off.
awful data coming out of USA so £ getting stronger, Aus market so far behind us and the states so once they get to stage we have now been for a year (which should hit them in the new year as about a year behind) the $ should get battered like a Whitby haddock!
I have now set up my equity ready to invest on this rollacoaster. Put £100k together and worked out that every +/- 1cent to the £ equals about £430 profit! Each week there has been at least a 10c range and sometimes 20c! Which means even if a poor 5c range (half of whats's been happening) there is potential c£2000 return per week. That beats bank (especially when rates dropped again next week!)
I just need better rate for my first move back to $'s as rate now is lower than when I last bought £'s so would be down straight away.

You had better be right! Is your theory based on the $ dollar going down the swanny or on the $ strengthing? Only reason I ask is because I have more euro than £ to convert to $.
I'm happy to keep my £ for now, my thinking is that £ is at its very worst at the moment so I am hanging on to it until it strengthen. Don't have a theory for the euro yet, it's difficult to predict.
