Default Future Survival - Pensions in Oz

I think this has been mentioned before, but think it's worth mentioning again.

UK citizens going to Oz don't get pension increases from the UK Government Pension.

Personally don't think any uk citizens will get pension increases - if anyone gets anything at all it will be a miracle!

Anyone planning to live solely on the UK basic state pension is heading for a poverty stricken retirement, even *with* inflation linking.

Private and company UK pensions are *not* affected by this issue. I don't know about SERPS.

Not true!

A final salary pension taken from a company which has "opted out" will have part of the indexing also witheld. That part which is the minimum guarantee.

I would be delighted if anyone can authoritatively show me to be wrong!
