Actually I think you are wrong. On the UK Government petition you can have two names using one e-mail address. After all many of these people are retired and therefore do not have seperate work e-mail addresses to use. So long as each name is sent as a seperate signature (not together) you will receive two responses on the same e-mail address.

It's great to see so many people involved in this. With current exchange rates it is even more vital that we get as many people as possible to sign these petitions.

Thanks for pointing that out, Gillian. I just assumed that there would be one vote per e-mail address to avoid people adding multiple votes. Of course it's easy for anyone to get many free e-mail addresses at Gmail or Yahoo so it would be foolish to try to add an extra check on whether any given e-mail address has already voted.

The total number of signatures is now 1238

Many thanks to everyone who has signed it. Please forward to friends & relatives asking them to sign. They don't have to be an expat or living in OZ just have to agree that they should not be frozen.

There is a new petition on the UK PMs website created by a Derek
Richards, who has emigrated to New Zealand, and is appealing for support
against freezing of his pension. It only has 66 signatures at present,
I'm sure everyone would like to add their support. You can find
the petition at the following web address.

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Pensionless/

You fill in your name and address and email. If you do not live in the UK you select the drop down box and identify yourself as an expatriate.

The e-petition site will send you an email. You must then click on the link
to confirm that you wish to be listed as a signatory.

You can only use your email address once, but you can include two names on
the signature line.

Please ask as many people as possible to add their support. This may not affect you now but it may in time to come.
