How many of you who have shipped fridgefreezers have found once they're unpacked and settled at the other end that they no longer work? If this did happen did your insurance cover you?

Although we didn't take fridge-freezer with us, thankfully none of our other geriatric electrical applicances suffered mechanical derangement

I bought a F/F in OZ and shipped it back to UK. It didn't work once it was unpacked, so we claimed on the Insurance. Yes we had insured it for M/derangement so got paid out.
Then it decided to work, so i it was a win win situation

mine had a failure of some kind so that the freezer over worked but the fridge was warm. We got someone top repair it and it cost $200. That was on a just over a year old FF from the uk shipped over.
