Default Foxtel - Minimum Contract Term

As in an earlier thread of mine, I'd like to get sorted with Foxtel when we move into our new rental property at the end of the month.

Do Foxtel allow 6 month contracts or are you tied for 12 months?

Is this the same for Foxtel IQ (Sky+ equivalent)

Thanks

24 month contracts are standard here. You would be allowed to move it after the rental though.

On the website there is a special promotion for free connection until the 30th June. It also states its $290 to break your contract within a 24 month term.

Does anyone know how much foxtel would usually charge for connection?

I contacted Foxtel the other night and expressed interest in their free installation and first month free (The Platinum Plan) offer but said I'm not interested in a 24 month contract. They explained that they can do all of this on a 12 month contract. Just got to decide, do I really want it!

There is a 6 month, 12 month, and the 24 month, when we signed up my wife didn't want 24 months at the time the the guy then told her he had shorter contacts.

we signed up for 12 months but had to pay$220 for insulation but would have been free if on 24 months.
