Default Form for the newly married

Hi all,

I am expecting confirmation of Visa application successful any day now for Employment sponsored migration. I have no reason to suspect that it will be rejected. Fingers xed

I am not expecting to depart for down under till April next year.

If I get married in this time(possibly) can anyone advise which form I require to fill in???

Please advise

Many Thanks.......Just get me down there!!

It is quite likely that when you receive your visa it may be stamped something like "Not to marry before first entry". If it does, then you cannot marry until you have validated your visa. There is no form to fill in, you are simply not allowed to marry.

Cool Re: Form for the newly married

Hi

Can any one confirm this please, is it just for certain visa classses??

I too am waiting for our visa (Aust Skilled - Sponsored) and have a wedding date set for next August (2005) We may have to go to validate our visa any way, but if not can you not advice them of your name change and proof of marriage certificate???

Thanks for any help.

Might be an idea to post it on the Immigration forum, as I don't know all the ins and outs. I know if you are applying as a couple, then its not a problem - de facto spouses can marry cos they both have visas. The problem arises if a single person is granted av visa, and then meets someone and decides to marry.

All offshore visas granted to single people normally have this condition.

It's not a problem if you've applied as a de-facto couple and then got married - what is a no-no for DIMIA is a person who has applied as a *single* getting married between visa grant and validation.

I wouldn't withhold any material change of circumstances from DIMIA if I were you. That is never a good idea.
