Moving to Melbourne in sept / oct and currently play football on sats and suns in UK. Was just wondering if there are actual football (soccer) leagues over there and what they're like. Any british expat teams?

I know after years of following a poor football team I thought this was my chance with no connections to any team to select a top of the league team and be a gloryhunting fan.
Typically I pick the team which is now second from bottom!!
Anyone need the kiss of death on any sporting teams just give me a shout and I'll start supporting them!!

There is no point on playing RL in Victoria. It's a failed experiment which should be ended as soon as possible.

There is very little home grown soccer shown on the TV here, so ist easy to think it doeant exist.
A mate of mine however told me that soccer is one of the largest participatory sports here.
Lets face it, there have been some really great aussie soccer players, Harry Kewell being the latest
