We did loads of searching and even got my sister-in-law, who is a travel agent, to try but she couldn't beat that price so we booked it.

When we went last year on holiday it cost us £3,300.00 return with Cathay.

Happy searching everyone.
Travelmood are brilliant. Have booked with them for 12 years. Totally recommended. Their sales director and his girl (both work for Travelmood) have become personal friends over the years.

Would recommend anyone considers flying via the US with Air NZ / United as you get 46kg baggage allowance no matter what visa you are on.

Cheers

Virgin Atlantic via HKG to Sydney in June with July return GBP609.90 each adult return inc taxes via their website. Seems quite good.

When we flew out here June 2004 we found v cheap flights on www.expedia.co.uk. Flew Singapore, very short stopovers (max flying time 20 hours or something) - they were great. I think we paid 350 quid each one way to Brissy around June time (booked about 3 months in advance) - couldn't believe how cheap it was.

Miss expedia for bargains like that.

Happy flight hunting

We will be flying Singapore Airlines, I see they get a bad write up in an earlier thread but that is over baggage allowance, on everything else they can not be faulted. We are buying our tickets direct from their web site. We can change the flights as we need to and are not charged for doing so. They have excellent customer service both on the ground and in flight, I speak from experience. If you are quoted extra kilo's for baggage always get it in writing but then I would say that of any airline. I think they are one of the best fare wise too.

Can Iask you what you mean by this. Over what period could you change them.
I have to fly to adelaide end of july, hopefully with my husband if the house is sold or he will have to stay til it sells. Does this mean I book our flights now and if he can't go they will change his flight for free??
