I am booking my flights but seem to be confusing myself when working out the UK time of flights for people.

OK here goes...

Flying from London at 22:00 Saturday and arrive in Bangkok 15:15 Sunday. Depart Bangkok 17:25 Friday and arrive in Sydney 06:25 Sunday.

Bangkok is 7 hours ahead of UK time and Syndey 10 hours. So by my calculations that meant I would arrive in Syndey 20:25 UK time Saturday.

However here is where I get confused. If I leave Bangkok 17:25, thats 10:25 UK. The flight is stated as 9 hours, so where am I losing an hour?!

Sydney is 9 hours ahead of UK at the moment. Not sure about Bangkok but 7 hours sounds about right.

Edit - Sydney will be 11 hours ahead of UK at the end of october - when the clocks go back one hour in the UK and forward 1 hour in Sydney for daylight saving. Wasn't sure when you're looking at booking...

Huh? That makes it even worse and means I am losing 2 hours somewhere?!
Also, the flights are in November if that makes a difference.

*edit* replied before your edit! Ah so Syndey will be 11 hours ahead of UK when I fly, which means it all makes sense now thanks

Hi. Sydney is currently 9 hours ahead of london and Bangkok is 6 hours ahead of London, thats probalby where your lost hour is.
