Hi just trying to arrrange a flight for my mum who is coming over around Xmas time for 6 weeks - please can you help what airlines/internets sites are good to use ? Any good deal ones ? Is it true Emritaes offer good deals ?

My dad is visiting Perth. He is flying from Heathrow with Singapore arriving in Perth on 11th December and flying back to England on 8th January. he managed to get a flight for 870 pounds all inclusive.

If you're talking close to Xmas then there is no such thing as a good deal. Seeing as its for six weeks though if you can leave before (about) 10th Dec then things should be cheaper - the 2 weeks following that upto Xmas Eve are the most expensive time of the year to fly.

Emirates starts flying from NCL to Dubai in September the main advantage being you can avoid the Heathrow circus although I think some of the connections in Dubai can be a bit lengthy.

On Emirates to depart on Dec 7th and come back Jan 21st is coming in at 898 pounds with short stopovers or 100 pounds cheaper with a 10hr stop on the outbound.

Not sure if your aware or not but Emirates are starting a direct flight from Newcastle to Perth (1st September) Don't know prices as yet but worth a look.
