Our friends booked their ticket a few weeks ago - direct with Singapore and they travel on Friday - they paid 430 quid each - one way only.
We got our flights to Perth with Travelmood.com and travelling this Friday too with Emirates - we paid 600quid return.
Would reall recommend them.

Remember cheap price is not everything especially with kids on a long haul. Recently QANTAS was chosen as the worst international carrier!!!, while Singapore No. 1 Also good are major Asian airlines e.g. Malaysian, Thai, Cathay and also Emirates. Singapore and others generally give great service if you have kids. As the old PM of Singapore directed when Singapore Airlines commenced, try to be as a good as QANTAS. According to Oz travellers they are better
