Finally Found Somewhere
Hey, we finally found and booked some accomodation for our move to Perth in August, weve got a short term holiday let in Carramar for 6 weeks, anyone know of any nice places to eat out, any other info on the area much appreciated

Nothing in Carramar itself. It is about a 10 min drive to Joondalup which has restaurants and pubs, cinema and shops.

At the moment, all we have is The Tucker Shop (corner shop) on Golf Links Drive but the shopping centre will be built by April too.
There are lots of shops and restaurants down the Wanneroo Road in Wanneroo. Wanneroo Tavern does good food, is handy and has an offer on kids food on Tuesdays (I think).
As a newbie, The Boat at Mindarie (and the Indian Ocean Brewery if they have no kids) will appeal. There are several nice restaurants at Hillarys too which is nice when you still think like a tourist.
There are a few restaurants at Ocean Keys area (Masala Indian, Whale & Ale pub food) , Oscars (Italian) in Currambine etc.
The best meals are to be had in the city / northbridge and surrounding areas. Tapas - Duende Leederville, loads of fish restaurants in South Perth and towards Freo.
