After waiting 2 yrs for the visa (received in March) we'd all but given up hope of selling the house. Accepted an offer this morning from a first time buyer who turns out to be a friend of a friend! They want to be in as early as possible so it looks like we'll be hitting Perth late September.

Still can't believe it, just keeping fingers crossed now that everything goes to plan.

And heres me thinking Poole - Its a beautiful place. Well so the Council keep telling us. Not quite that beautiful as there's a few of us from this area just posting on this site and hoping to go somewhere more beautiful!!!!!

If it makes you feel better - we live in Oakdale and it took 7 months to sell our house. We move out to rented on the 29/8.

Our agent bowled in the door on the 3rd Jan and said "house worth £200,000, I'll sell it in 3 weeks. 7 months later and a drop of £14,000 we finally get it off our hands!!!!!

Cheers guys. We are now starting to feel cautiously optimistic again. Back to checking out the flights/accomodation etc. Glad to hear you are settling in Yve. Please keep posting as it's really helpful to those of us here. You have to admit Jo, when the sun is shining like it is now you'd be hard pushed to find a better place than Poole, trouble is we don't get enough of it normally.
