Hi

I would like some info. My questions are

1 - How do you validate your visa & how long does it take.

2 - My date on my letter from the imigration department is 19th July, is this the date they will make a decision on my visa?

Hi Jac

You just have to enter the country to validate your visa, it didn't take us any longer than it would normally for them to stamp your passport. They don't do anything different when you validate. What does the letter say re the date?

hi...Date for validation is 12 months from police check or meds whichever is the earliest....you must enter oz for good or a holiday within 12 months of this date then you have 5 yrs when its valid!!...good luck

1 - How do you validate your visa & how long does it take.

You physically have to visit Australia, this includes everyone on your application. One person cannot fly out and do everyones.
Shame there 5 of us!!!!! I think validation consists of having your passport stamped at the Airport. Its that quick

I'm not sure about this bit - need more info, if you've had a letter saying your visas have been granted, you normally have to be out to Oz by the date of your police checks or medical.

Thanks re the visa validation. Can I take it from your comments that I just wait for a letter saying yes or no and if it is yes we can book our flights.

The 19th of July was the date I had to send all of the information back by.

Yes you get a confirmation letter to tell you it has been granted, so it sounds like they will hopefully make a decision for you after they get all the info back, and in that letter they tell you the latest date for validation (usually a year from the date of meds or police checks whichever came first).
