Hi,
I have just exchanged contracts on my house and it should complete next week. The solicitor assures me that nobody pulls out after the house has been exchanged! We are in a good position because we will be staying in a house that's owned by a member of the family and we've both said how stressful it would be if we were having to book flights etc whilst we are waiting for the house to sell. For us it would have been as stressful as you guys are finding it because our buyer has had problems which have delayed the sale but now it's all sorted out and we can move in to our rented house and then plan the next stage with less stress.
All the time we kept thinking that the house sale would fall through but you just have to be patient and let it happen because it's all out of your control. The first person that put in an offer on our house came around for another viewing and told us he had put offers in on 3 or 4 other houses and was waiting to hear from the one he really wanted. How quick did he get turfed out! But it didn't put us off we had a good moan about it and then just got on with it again because that's all we could do.
Good luck to everyone who is selling.
Regards,
Adrian
