Can't believe an xray can be so expensive, they seem to vary so much across the country. Is £65 the most expensive or can anyone make me feel better and tell me they paid more ?!

PS B/friend got his visa through today !!!!!!!!!!

I wish ours had been that cheap - family of 4 - 2 adults, 13 year old and 10 year old £770-00 plus £68.00 for the courier. Medicals and X rays done in Hull.
In total we were there for 55 mintutes.

We paid £65 each for x-rays ( could've got it done for nothing at work ! ) and , ready for this , £145 each for medicals ! £50 each for kids ! This consisted of dipstick of urine and a shake of the arms for 1 child (age 6) and a wiggle of the legs for the other , (age 3 )!
Matching horrificaly bruised arms for my husband and I were thrown in free!( I presume )
Welcome to the wonderful world of private medicine.
Best get used to it in Australia or get insured.

Hi Tass

We were at the same Dr as you. I think you know how we all feel about her. Did she ask if your 3 year old could read? She asked me if my 2 year old could read I laughed and said no he's only beginning to grasp the vocal at the moment. Then she said yeah but surely he can read big letters!!!!!! If I wasn't a mum of 3 kids I could have left there feeling there was something wrong with ma wean!! She certainly gets her money for nothing.

Hi Cara, Im in Erskine (beside bridge) where exactly are you in Glasgow. We went for medicals and x-rays 3 weeks ago had terrible clot in arm after medical from stupid doctor in Glasgow, but I presume you don't need that you only need the X-ray, correct? Anyway, what job have you got etc. My partners family are all in Melbourne and we spent approx 5 months there so if you've got any questions you wanna ask p/m me. Regards to the post its up to yourself but I sent my nurses application by 'sign for it' and my visa application by 'sign for it' also and had absolutely no probs, but that was me. speak to you soon. Heather.
