Thats quite a way out of the city, some nice areas up around Mango Hill, Kallangur etc especially if you have family. I don't think there's a forum specific for that area (like there is for Bayside Brits) but there are few people on this site that are from Brisbane & the Northern suburbs if you have any questions.
