Basically, no, not quite. 1. You are automatically British if your Father is British and was born in the UK 2. or you were born in the UK and one of your parents is British. Otherwise you have to apply to be British ;) British citizenship law is actually fairly complex, possibly more so than it needs to be. |

Well, the political arguments would be helped if England a) had its own national anthem and b) had a national day off on the 23rd April.
