Default engineering in sydney

Hi everyone
I am currently in the process of doing my t.r.a application and i was wanting to know if there is any particular areas in sydney where there is a lot of engineering, i am a cnc programmer/setter and will hopefully moving there in about a year.
i will probably have about a $300,000 budget for a house and would like to find an area closeish to my job and good for my girlfriend and 2 yr old daughter.
Any suggestions

Rumba i am in a similar position and do the same sort of work, mainly automotive engineering CNC laser and turning, robotic welding and stuff, i need to move to the eastcoastdue to having family in Brisbane, I think if you are easy on where you go the south west is the place to be. Look at the PEEL development in SWA,,,, Loads of engineering and manufacturing work.

Hi there,

Mr GG is a Process Engineer. Most of the jobs he's been applying for are based in the west - out towards Parramatta. Parramatta is about 25km west of Sydney; about 30 minutes by train.
