Employability issue with 475 visa
Hi there
I have State sponsorship from South Australia for the 475 regional provisional visa and I have now applied on-line for the actual visa. In an ideal world I would have applied for the 'full' 175 visa but I only had 105 points so this was out of the question.
I can accept the restrictions on medicare, and not being able to apply for pr for at least two years but what I am really concerned about is the employers' view of this visa. On many job apps I see 'must be a resident' or similar wording. Compounding this, I will be seeking work in the public sector (either a university or city council) which I fear may be closed off to me because of my lack of PR.
So, in short, what are your experiences of finding employment with this visa?
Thanks
GN
