The near 60% support for the Liberals in this poll is interesting and is in complete contrast to national polls.
I think it's because many poms have seen the cock-up that a quasi-socialist, namby-pamby government has made in the UK and realise that a KRudd/Gillard government will do the same here.

Then we could sell more coal to China, after all they a building a power station a week, or something like that.
Even if Australia switches off everything, China will make up for the reduction in CO2 within a six weeks. That's why Krudds whole climate change electioneering is a load of bollox.

Clean coal is part of the solution but only part. If you want a booming economy with zero emissions then it will need to be a combination of nukes, clean coal, gas, solar, wind and wave.

That does raise a good point. What is the point in going nuclear when the amount of CO2 we generate is minimal. I don't even see the point in bothering with clean coal for domestic consumption, unless we can sell it to the Chinese.
