The parties have setup a website so you can check if you are enrolled on the electoral roll. Be sure to enter all of your middle names if you cant find yourself it didnt find me with just my first name..

Labor voters check here :

If that doesnt work Coalition voters can check here

Budgie smugglers? They guy volunteers as a surf lifeguard. What would you wear if you were performing lifeguard duties?

Better Abbott than a Fabian Socialist Communist leading the country.

Well if you want Australia to end up like the UK... Financially f***ed!

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money to spend" - Margaret Thatcher

Right now it looks like the UK is about to head into a double dip recession because of Labour's inept financial management. The last thing Australia wants is a Labor govt if the same thing happens here.

Life in Australia was far better under a Liberal government.

Thatcher spent plenty of other people's money.

Yup, me too. I'd have considered Malcolm Turnbull, Abbott is a complete no no...I still can't get over the fact they selected him.

So you'd rather Australia run up a massive debt and be controlled by the unions?

There are certain things that shouldn't be nationalised or controlled by the govt and should be sold off.

Well the facts speak for themselves. Labor already has a track record of throwing money down the drain for no return. This Labor govt has wasted so much money on failed projects it's not funny.

This country needs proper fiscal management and Labor are just incapable of that.

I've lived through the Hawke/Keating Labor govt and the Howard Liberal years. Australia really moved forward under the Liberals. Australia was a good place to live then. Under Labor, this country is going to the dogs. Another term of Labor would be disastrous for this country.

Costello inherited an economy that in the previous 5 years following Keating's 'recession we had to have' had been growing at an average annual rate of more than 4%...consistently too. In fact the numbers under Costello were lower. He may have been paying off the deficit but I've never been convinced by his much heralded credentials as an economic manager...sit and watch the money roll in and fail to re-invest, sounds easy.

As for the current deficit...which country in the world hasn't spent big to try and mitigate the GFC? No doubt some money was wasted and some projects were ill thought out...but regardless it seems to have worked (maybe short term, we shall see). I didn't agree with the stimulus myself...still not enough to make me consider voting for Abbott though!
