economic migrant class
I know this is a migration question, but thought I would ask here anyway, but what happened to the economic migrant class or whatever it was called? Seem to remember about 10 years ago there was a class you could apply under if you had a vast sum of money to bring with you to Oz - just thinking about a couple of recent posts who have said they have up to 1/2 million+/- to bring with 'em, and why they couldnt apply under this. then I went back to the dimia website and saw that it was no longer there.

dont know anything about that one but i dont think on my wages i would be able to apply for that one.

Actually, if my memory serves me right, you had to GET CAUGHT trying to earn the "vast sum of money" and then you would be deported to Australia.
