We both currently bring home about £32,000 gross p.a.
If we moved to Oz my research tells me we will bring in about $60,000.
Although it could be more.
Is that a okay income to have a decent standard of living, or simular to one here in the U.K?
(We are planning on moving to Melbourne.)

You may earn more, you may earn less.
It depends in what game you are in.
As a rule, anything over $60K is considered a "decent" salary.
Make sure superannuation is additional to that figure.

Deer, you'd be silly to go anywhere else...

I would say $60K is fairly respectable but it depends on how many of you there are, where you're planning on living and what your expenses are going to be... Also, will you be promoted and get a pay rise? Will this be in line with inflation? Make sure you have super....
Budget well.

It also depends on whether you bring capital to buy cars, houses etc.
Whilst we're on less on paper we have no credit, no hp, no mortgage etc. Insurance etc seems way cheaper and so far we find the cost of living cheaper but the effect the drought continues to have who knows?
Good luck!
