Thanks for all your answers everyone. Looks like I'll just use a relatives address and get it changed.

Do they really punch a hole in your UK one when you get an Aussie one?

Have a good flight pioneer and ladywithatorch...!

I can assure you that on the Gold Coast, they do not punch a hole in our UK licences. Not sure where this idea came from.

They do in some states not in others.

Maybe its just a VIC thing but they do put a hole punch through your UK Driving licence here.

If we do need it again just advise DVLA of the new address otherwise its just a "souvenir" of a previous life
