Default does the heat get to you

Does the constant hot weather year in year out wear you out and do you find yourself reminiscing about winter days in front of a fire. I like hot weather but I wonder if Ill get sick of it. Do you spend most of your summer indoors with the aircon going.

The hot weather can get to you but compared to scraping ice off the car when it is -5 in the morning is not something I miss. I am lucky in that there is a sea breeze. The temperature difference between Bondi and Western Sydney is about 5c. That and having the ocean to jump in makes the heat very pleasant.

The worst thing about the heat is the sweat. 2 changes of clothes a day and soggy balls.

Holiday in heat = one thing.

Work live function in heat = very different thing.

Heat for 2 weeks in benidorm a year = exciting.

Heat for many many months of year day and night = draining.

Heat in travel agents brochure = average temps of 27 (sure) accompanied by very nice beach pictures.

Real heat in OZ =

Oven fanned 38 - 43's in Perth accompained by desert breezes.

Sub tropical sticky 30 - 38's with occasional 40 accompanied by very wet armpits.

Sydney blustery high 30's accompanied by the fire brigade on a first name basis.

Melbourne Weird 44 weeks followed by peeing rain and 11 degrees for a week.

Heat on this forum = Oz is much cooler than Sub tropical UKers and has never got above 29, plus it only rains at night.

I hate to admit this as I have been winging and whining all winter about being cold but it was hot at the weekend and we went on a day out up north to Lancelin and I was TOO hot, I had a touch of sunburn from the day before, yes foolish I know so I was covered up and we were on the beach trying to thread our fishing rods, getting more and more hot & flustered by the minute.

We gave up, had an arguement and came home!!

Can anyone thread fishing rods!!

It is nice to see the sun again though
