It's not so much waking with the birds as being awoken by the birds!
In my street the kookaburra's seem to have an early morning party... every morning! Happens so frequently that we have learnt to ignore them now and carry on sleeping.

In our street, its usually the lesser-spotted lawn mower thats the problem, especially on weekends. Either that or the out playing on the street at dawn phlebs kids on plastic wheeled bikes.

Ah, its unbelievable. We've got a lemon tree, and an orange tree, two avocado trees, 3 custard apple trees, a few nut trees, 2 mango trees, a lychee tree and a spaghetti tree....
(ok the last one was a lie

The first night in our home was quite bizarre. We had moved from a rental in towndown Berwick up to a "rural" house at the end of a 2.5km road. All you could hear was wildlife that first night. I thought all the wildebeests were closing in on us.
Possums watch us from the power pole when we take the rubbish out and scurry over the roof.
Outside it is a birdwatcher's paradise, and Rosellas fly down to eat lavendar from the bushes outside our bedroom windows. We also have flights of galahs flitting through the trees - (OK that's enough - Ed).

Beat ya !! Got guavas, pineapples, pawpaws, mandarines, grapefruit, limes and bananas besides what you have already listed. We keep the neighbours supplied during summer.

I do love the sound of the Kookaburra though.

We went for a drive into state forest last weekend and saw a lyre bird and heard loads of bell birds. This is an amazing country if you're into wildlife.

Currawongs the last few days. 20 squabbling lorikeets on the deck make an almighty din. Whipbirds are much nicer.
