Some of the extra, is Education allowance. Thats 750 bucks at least.

So we have Aud 950 x 4 for the kids, thats two kids x two payments = Aud 3900. Plus two lots of tax incentives @ Aud 900, = Thats another Aud 1800. Plus the Education allowance Aud 750 for the high school child and Aud 325 for the primary school child. Thats Aud 6775 for our two, plus us from the Government minimum.

What am I missing ABCD ? After school care ?

Looking forwards to getting our tax done this year.

Man I am so going there too. Desperate to dive up that way - got a friend who lives in Exmouth, is a scuba diver and has his own boat. I'm not sure life could get any better!

If you had ended up paying some net tax after your 2007/08 tax return was finalised, and your income was under the threshold. Then, Yes, you have some money coming to you, probably this week.

There were two parts to the stimulus for many people, the Centrelink one and the Tax one.

A report from yesterday......
19th March 2009

The $900 bonus to taxpayers could be in question

The Federal Government's $900 bonus to taxpayers could be in question after the High Court agreed to hear a challenge to the legality of the payment.

The case is set down to be heard for two days from March 30.

The Australian Taxation Office has told the High Court that if it is to stop printing cheques it needs to be told by the close of business on April 2.
