Desperately seeking Doreen in Mosman
I wonder if anyone can help me locate this British emigrant?
Living in Mosman (Sydney) in the early 1980's
Seeking information about Doreen Wellsbury (maiden name) who emigrated to Australia from England in the 1950's.Doreen was living and working in London in the early 1950's. She was employed by Marks & Co, 84 Charing Cross Road, London WC2.
The shop made famous in the book by Helene Hanff. More details at www.84charingcrossroad.co.uk
In 1983 Doreen attended the Australian premiere of the play of 84CCR at the Marian Street Theatre.
